   On the guided path (the default), every area ends in a final quiz drawn fresh from a large question pool, and you need every answer right to unlock the next area — 100%, no partial credit. Prefer to explore instead? Free navigation lets you open any area immediately.

3. 3. Get a gap report if you don’t

   Miss any questions and you’ll see exactly which task statements to restudy, with links straight to the relevant chapters. Retry as many times as you like — every retry draws a fresh set of questions.

4. 4. Take timed mock exams

   Full 60-question, 120-minute mock exams mirror the real test’s scenario mix and question distribution, so your last practice run feels just like exam day.

What is the Claude Certified Architect – Foundations exam?

It's Anthropic's certification exam for people who build production systems with Claude. It's 60 multiple-choice questions across five weighted content domains, drawn from four of six possible scenarios, delivered in a 120-minute window. It's scored on a 100–1,000 scale with 720 required to pass, and the credential is valid for 12 months.

Is CCAF Prep official, or affiliated with Anthropic?

No. CCAF Prep is an unofficial study companion. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, and it doesn't reuse any official exam or partner course content — every lesson and question here was written independently from the public exam guide.

What does it cost?

Nothing. The full curriculum, every quiz, and every gap report are free to use — there's no paywall on the core prep experience.

How long does prep take?

It depends on your starting point. Learners with hands-on Claude API experience move through the early areas quickly; the mastery gates just make sure you don't move on with real gaps. Budget more time if you're new to building with Claude — the Orientation and API Foundations areas are designed to bring you up to speed first.

Do I need prior Claude API experience?

No. The course starts with an Orientation area covering how the exam works, followed by an API Foundations area that teaches the request/response model, tool use, and the agentic loop from scratch — no prior hands-on experience is required before you reach the exam's core content domains.
